1st Email: 1st Week at MTC

Well, Hi!!!!
Okay, so I've been in the MTC for almost exactly 168 hours (1 week) and I have SO MUCH I want to say! I don't have a lot of time to email, so hopefully I can get through everything.
So basically, I LOVE the MTC. I have learned so much and had such a fun time! Let's see...on the first day, it was kind of crazy because I didn't really have any idea what was going on, but everyone what so stinking nice that it didn't matter. I was wearing my cute little orange dork dot, and I don't know how many times someone told me, "Welcome to the MTC!" Everyone is so filled with the spirit, too! It's seriously so cool being in a place where everyone is so righteous. When in my life will I ever have the chance to be in a place like this again??
The MTC is a little different than I expected. I knew we would be busy all day every day, but what we focus on and learn all day is different from what I thought we would be doing. I thought we would just be pounding doctrine and Preach My Gospel lessons in to our heads all day, but really, most of what we've been talking about and focusing on is loving our investigators and teaching with the spirit. It's so great!
So my companion is awesome! I'll probably send a picture of her next week. She's super nice and we teach well together. She's from St. George. And my district is so awesome too! We have become such great friends and we've only known each other for a week! It's incredible! Ah, I wish I had time to talk about everybody I've met here.
So here's something kind of exciting... you know how the Raintree apartments my sister Erica used to live in are now part of the MTC? My Zone got transferred over there! So we spent a week on the main campus of the MTC and now we'll spend a week on the west campus. It's pretty cool! Our residence halls are at Wyview and our classrooms are at Raintree. No, my classroom is not in Erica's old apartment. It's in another building.
Ah! I only have ten more minutes and there's so many things I want to say!! So on Sunday we listened to a talk by Elder Bednar called "the Character of Christ." Look it up. Now. I really hope it's online somewhere because I want to listen to it again.
So we went to the temple this morning and it was awesome, as usual. I'm super sad I won't be able to go till I get back! But it's okay. I'll just have to go every day for like 3 months when I get home to catch up.
Um....We've taught a few lessons, a few to our teacher Brother Littlefield (who's awesome), and one yesterday to a TRC investigator, which is I guess someone who is maybe less active, or not a member, or something like that, but they're still kind of playing a role. So it's kinda real, kinda not. And I'm not gonna lie, it was kind of intimidating! He was this guy from Haitti, and he was like, super Catholic. He was interested in our church because he liked how we taught about happiness and how we can become like God, but he just had so many questions, and he disagreed with some of the things we said...but it was all right. He really wants us to come back though, so that's good.
So I actually really like how we're busy all day. It's tiring, and at times my brain literally feels on the verge of explosion...but it's good! I don't want to feel like I'm wasting any time, because really, for the next 18 months, my life is the Lord's time, not mine.
Hopefully this all makes sense... I kind of just vomit-typed.... so yeah.
Anyways, I love you all! Thanks for all the support! The Church is true! The book is blue!
Love,
Sister Myers
